Saint Barbara Greek Festival Update 2021

Dear Saint Barbara Parishioners,

We hope you are all doing well. Our amazing festival is quickly approaching and will be here before we know it!!

Preparations are well underway. The tents are up and we are receiving deliveries daily for the kitchen to cook those wonderful meals. We could really use your help to complete the set up, and to make this year’s comeback festival the best it’s ever been.

We will be setting up all day Wednesday and Thursday. Saint Barbara family, we need your help to put all the equipment into place, set up tables and chairs under the big tent and in the gym, to wrap the tables with plastic coverings, hang signs, bag ice, and so much more. If you have an hour or two, please stop by and ask where you can help. By Thursday night, all the different station managers need to have their stands ready and the vendors will be setting up in the gym.

But there's more. This weekend we need you too. We could not do this without you, so please volunteer and have a great time doing it. If you have not signed up, it's not too late. Please go to the station you normally help at and if it's well staffed, please ask a Parish Council Member where your help is needed. We need lots of help everywhere.

As a reminder, there is no-site parking except for volunteers. Parking passes will be available so please pick yours up from the Church Office so you can park in the back lot. All festival visitors will have to use the shuttle service from Ocean County College.

Finally, to ensure health and safety for everyone, if you are working the inside dining room food station, we are required to wear masks as we serve food. Outside stations are not required to wear masks but feel free to wear one for your own safety if you choose to. Gloves and sanitizer will be provided at all stations.

This is going to be an incredible weekend filled with love for our Beloved Saint Barbara Parish. We hope to see you all there.............OPA!!!

Sincerely,

The 2021 Festival Committee.
